About School

Manthan School, Hyderabad, has been ranked 3rd in both Hyderabad and Telangana in the International Day School category for the third consecutive year in 2024 by Education World. Additionally, the school has climbed two spots to secure 16th place nationally, improving from last year’s ranking.

Academics

At Manthan, we offer a diverse array of extracurricular activities, including theatre, visual arts, dance, music, and a variety of sports such as football, volleyball, basketball and cricket. Students are encouraged to explore and engage in all these activities up to Grade 5, allowing them to experience a broad spectrum of interests. From Grade 6 onwards, they have the opportunity to select their preferred activity and receive specialised training, helping them develop skills and expertise in their chosen field.

At Manthan, we embrace a student-centered approach to education, prioritising the active engagement and participation of learners in their own development. Our lessons are built around collaborative learning, where students work together in groups to research, discuss and analyse their findings. This process is guided by our skilled and experienced teachers, who provide support while encouraging independent thinking and teamwork. Additionally, our lessons are designed with differentiated learning in mind, ensuring that the diverse needs of students with varying cognitive abilities are met. By tailoring instruction to accommodate different learning styles and mental capacities, we create an inclusive environment where every student can thrive and reach their full potential.

1:10 is the student teacher ratio at the school. We have a maximum of 25 students in our CBSE as well as Cambridge classes.

At Manthan, we provide both the CBSE and Cambridge curricula, offering students a well-rounded education with global perspectives. All students follow the Cambridge curriculum until Grade 7, after which they and their parents are given the choice to continue with either the Cambridge pathway or switch to the CBSE curriculum, based on their academic goals and preferences. For those opting for the CBSE curriculum, students will sit for the national board examinations at the end of Grade 10 and Grade 12.

Alternatively, students who choose the Cambridge pathway will take the internationally recognized IGCSE exams at the end of Grade 10, followed by AS Level exams in Grade 11, and A Level exams in Grade 12.

At Manthan, we assess students' progress using a variety of methods to ensure a comprehensive understanding of their learning journey. Continuous assessments are conducted throughout the academic year to monitor and evaluate each student's development. In addition to traditional pen-and-paper tests, we emphasize a more holistic approach by incorporating creative writing assignments, project-based tasks, and research activities as part of the evaluation process. All these assessments are carefully consolidated into the student's progress report, known as the Spectrometer. This detailed report offers a well-rounded view of the student's achievements, growth and areas for improvement, and is shared with parents twice a year. Through this system, we ensure that both academic performance and the learning process are accurately tracked and communicated.

Admission Process

  1. Submission of recent performance reports:
Parents are required to submit the student's most recent academic performance reports as part of the initial application process.

  2. School tour and interaction:
Following this, the admissions team schedules a school tour for the parents and the child. This provides them with an opportunity to familiarize themselves with the campus, facilities, and overall learning environment at Manthan.

  3. Student assessment:
As part of the admission process, students are asked to take an assessment. This assessment helps the school identify the student’s strengths and areas for improvement, allowing for a more personalised learning experience.

  4. Interaction with senior leadership:
A senior leader from the school’s administration meets with the parents to explain the school’s expectations, values and educational philosophy. This is also an opportunity for parents to ask questions, raise concerns and seek clarifications about the school and its processes.

  5. Admission decision and further steps:
Based on a thorough review of the assessment results, performance reports and discussions with the parents, a decision regarding the child’s admission is made. Once granted, the next steps in the admission process are clearly explained to the parents.

  6. Special process for Jr. Kg.:
For Jr. Kg. applicants, the admission process involves only an interactive session with the child. For all other grades, the process includes both an interaction with the child and an assessment to gauge their academic readiness.

This structured process ensures that both the child’s academic potential and the family’s expectations are aligned with the school’s ethos before moving forward with admission.
