Athletics

Develop endurance, strength and personal achievement through track and field. Students from Grade 6 to 12 enhance athletic skills in running, discus throw and shot put, learning to push their physical limits with purpose and discipline.

Art

Creativity plays a key role in a child's growth, helping them express ideas, build confidence and think critically.
At our international school in Hyderabad, students are encouraged to explore both traditional and contemporary art forms in ways that spark imagination and develop essential skills.

In the early years and primary levels, art is an integral part of learning. Children are guided through the basics of drawing, sketching, shading and painting. As they move into middle and high school, those with a deeper interest can join the Art and Craft club, where they take on creative challenges and showcase their work through exhibitions and displays.

Basketball

Build teamwork and agility as students from Grade 3 to 5 learn the fundamentals of dribbling, passing and shooting, while students from Grade 6 to 12 learn advanced skills of basketball. The court becomes a place for trust, quick decisions and collaborative effort.

Craft

Students explore ideas with their hands, developing creativity, focus and coordination as they work.
Young learners build fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination through cutting, folding and pasting, while also learning to plan, organise and express their thoughts visually. These activities help strengthen conceptual understanding and spark imagination from an early age.

In Pre-Primary and Primary, creative making is a core part of the curriculum. Older students can take their interest further by joining the Art and Craft club, where they take on design challenges and proudly exhibit their creations.

COAP Club

Students in the COAP (Community Outreach and Aid Programme) Club focus on raising awareness about important issues such as mental health, body positivity and menstrual hygiene through creative newsletters.

In addition to this, students organise donation drives and host guest talks to engage the wider community. Through these initiatives, the club empowers its members to promote positive change within and beyond the school.

Cricket

Cultivate patience, focus and strategic play as students immerse themselves in this traditional sport. From batting to bowling, students gain confidence, discipline and a sense of sportsmanship. Students from Grade 3 to 5 are introduced to and learn the basics, while students from Grade 6 to 12 develop advanced skills in each.

Dance

Children express themselves through movement, building confidence, coordination and creativity as they dance.
They explore a variety of dance styles that support their physical, emotional, cognitive and social development. Dance is a core part of the learning experience in Pre-Primary and Primary, where children begin to understand rhythm, movement and expression. As they grow, students can deepen their interest by joining the Dance Club. 

Here, they receive guided training in technique and choreography from experienced instructors. Opportunities to perform are part of school life, with students showcasing their talents during festivals, assemblies and events. Many also go on to represent the school in solo and group competitions.

Debate Club

Students in the Debate Club have a platform to voice their opinions and cultivate a love for debating.
The club, established in 2017, was one of the first student-led organisations at Manthan. The Junior Debate Club is for Lower Secondary, while the Debate Club includes students from Upper Secondary and Advance classes.

Through debates, interactive discussions and research projects, students engage with a wide range of topics and develop an open-minded, multi-dimensional approach. They enhance their public speaking and critical thinking skills, growing into confident orators.

Excursions

Students in Upper Secondary at Manthan School embark on an annual excursion as part of their academic journey. These trips blend experiential learning with travel excitement, providing opportunities to explore new places, cultures and meet diverse people. Through these experiences, students become more curious, open-minded and socially responsible.

Football

Boost physical fitness, tactical thinking and perseverance by playing the world’s most beloved sport. Students from Grade 3 to 5 grasp the fundamentals and build a solid base, while students from Grade 6 to 12 refine advanced football skills. Through every match and training session, they develop teamwork, goal setting and determination.

Field trips

Students at Manthan engage in learning beyond the classroom through field trips to local attractions such as the zoo, planetarium, museum, wind farm and historical sites. These experiences bring their lessons to life, helping them connect with the real world and see the practical application of what they learn.

Handball

Develop coordination and teamwork as students from Grade 3 to 5 learn the basics of handball. The game builds agility, quick thinking and collaboration on the court.

Kho-Kho

Build speed, strategy and communication through this traditional tag sport. Available for students from Grade 3 to 5, it enhances reflexes and promotes strong teamwork. Players learn to anticipate opponents’ moves while working closely with teammates, fostering both mental and physical agility.

House Leaders

At our Cambridge school in Hyderabad, students actively engage in leadership through a democratic election process. Beginning in Primary school, students elect their House Leaders and Council Members, fostering a sense of responsibility. Older students oversee the elections, ensuring fairness and smooth execution.

Students also lead initiatives through COAP clubs, focusing on community and environmental projects. These clubs give students the chance to take on leadership roles in sustainable efforts, support underprivileged students and promote social responsibility, further developing their leadership skills in real-world contexts.

International Culture Club

Students in the International Culture Club (ICC) have the opportunity to explore and appreciate the world’s diverse cultures through engaging activities. These activities are designed to immerse members in the cultures of different countries - including writing articles, playing traditional games, participating in presentations on art and history and connecting with people from those countries.

The ICC encourages students to become global citizens by fostering a deeper understanding of various cultures and perspectives from around the world.

Movie Club

Students in the Movie Club have the opportunity to discuss and share their thoughts on films. The club fosters constructive conversations and friendly debates about all aspects of cinema. To enhance members' understanding of filmmaking, engaging activities are incorporated, such as the Plot Game, where films are guessed based on their plotlines.

Other popular activities include Dumb Charades, Pictionary, movie quizzes and monthly "Movie Fights", where members debate different film topics.

Music

Students have the opportunity to relax, express themselves and connect through sound in music classes.
Younger learners engage with music as part of their daily routine. Our well-equipped music rooms, featuring keyboards, drums, guitars, harmonicas and digital tools, offer children the chance to explore melody, rhythm and performance.

Students regularly showcase their musical talents during assemblies, festivals and annual events, building confidence and fostering a deep love for music.

Music Club

Students explore their chosen instruments and music genres in great depth.
During Lower and Upper Secondary, students are encouraged to compose their own music and perform at school events and inter-school competitions. With access to well-equipped music rooms, students can learn and play instruments such as drums, guitar, keyboard, tabla, dholak, dafli and more.

Teachers focus on each student's level of expertise, guiding them to compose music and form a school band. The band performs at various school events, showcasing the students' musical progress and talents.

Overnight Leadership Adventure Camp

Students at Manthan have the opportunity to build essential life skills such as teamwork, self-confidence and leadership through immersive overnight adventure camps for Primary and Lower Secondary students.

With expert guidance, they take part in activities like rappelling, zip lining and collaborative team challenges, while fostering strong bonds with their peers. The camps also offer engaging experiences like talent nights, bonfires and an awards ceremony, reinforcing the value of collaboration and resilience in real-world settings.

Physical Education Club

Students stay active, build teamwork and grow in confidence through a wide range of sports activities.
From football and basketball to throwball, volleyball and athletics, children engage in both indoor and outdoor games while learning key skills from trained coaches. Many go on to represent the school in competitions at local and regional levels.

Science Club

Students in the Science Club ask questions, test ideas and explore how science connects to the world around them.
Through practical activities and creative thinking, they build confidence in working together, solving problems and thinking like scientists.

Sparsh Club

Students in the Sparsh Club manage the school’s magazine and play a key role in its publication.
Divided into Junior Sparsh Club with Lower Secondary students, and Sparsh Club with Upper Secondary and Advanced students, the club publishes two newsletters annually, with the editorial team leading the ideation and content finalisation.

Their goal is to engage the student body through their advice column, “Paraamarsh.” Students submit creative stories, plays, poems and artwork, which are edited by club members and reviewed by teachers before being published.

Table Tennis

Sharpen reflexes, coordination and concentration in this fast-paced sport. Students learn to think quickly, stay focused and improve technique through friendly competition and steady practice.

Theatre Club

Students in the Theatre Club refine their stage skills, discover new perspectives and explore world plays and dramas.
Meeting weekly, club members delve into various aspects of theatre production, learning about everything from acting to stage design. They rehearse for cultural events both at school and at the state level, honing their craft and building confidence as performers.

Taekwondo

Foster discipline, confidence and respect through the martial art of taekwondo. Students grow in physical strength and mental resilience while learning the importance of self-control and perseverance.

Theatre

Theatre helps children build confidence, overcome stage fright and develop public speaking skills.
Drama is introduced in Grade 4 to encourage self-expression and enhance communication. Often integrated into language classes, theatre supports vocabulary development and helps students apply language in real-life situations.

Through various activities, students improve soft skills such as observation, memory and speech modulation. They also learn teamwork, characterisation, body control, role-play and problem-solving. Theatre provides a new perspective that enhances their academic learning and personal growth.

Touch Rugby

Enhance fitness, agility and tactical skills while exploring the fundamentals. Students from Grade 3 to 5 develop quick decision-making and a spirit of fair play in a non-contact, fast-moving environment. It’s an ideal introduction to teamwork and perseverance through continuous play and dynamic strategies.

Ultimate Frisbee

Master throwing, catching and running in this dynamic, fast-paced activity. Designed for students from Grade 3 to 5, it encourages trust, quick decisions and teamwork. The game promotes endurance and spatial awareness, helping students build resilience and strong communication skills through shared effort.

Volleyball

Strengthen collaboration and agility as students from Grade 6 to 12 master serving, setting and spiking. The court becomes a place for building trust, quick thinking and mutual support.
