Virtual Open House - 01 August
At Manthan School in Hyderabad, students take the lead in shaping a community where all languages are seen, heard and valued. Alongside teachers and families, our students co-created our Vision for Multilingualism, a shared commitment to celebrating the many languages spoken across our school.This vision is taking shape in everyday school life. Around the campus, student work, signs and displays reflect the rich variety of languages in our community. By making multilingualism visible, students help create an environment where everyone feels welcome, included and proud of their language and culture.
At Manthan, students share an Indian nationality but reflect a rich linguistic diversity, with families across the community speaking a wide range of mother tongues.
Students benefit from a strong emphasis on English across the Cambridge curricula, supporting learners from ages 2 to 18.
Learners boost their language skills by learning Hindi, Telugu or French as second or third languages, fostering multilingual fluency and enhancing global communication.

Pre-Primary
In Pre-Primary, children are immersed in English through daily routines, stories and play. They also begin learning a second language, either Hindi or Telugu.Â
Dedicated sessions help develop early listening, speaking and vocabulary skills, building confidence in both English and the additional language.
Cambridge Primary School
In our primary school in Hyderabad, students actively engage in their language learning through a dynamic programme that helps them fast-track English fluency with the Cambridge International Primary Programme.Â
They also have the opportunity to choose Hindi and Telugu as second and third language options, empowering them to develop multilingual fluency and expand their communication skills.
Cambridge Lower Secondary School
At our Cambridge Lower Secondary, students are fully immersed in English, with the opportunity to choose Hindi or French as a second language and Telugu as a third language.Â
Cambridge Upper Secondary School
At our Cambridge Upper Secondary and Advanced School, students are fully immersed in English, with the opportunity to choose Hindi or French as a second language and Telugu as a third language.Â
From Grade 9 onwards, students take ownership of their language learning by selecting Hindi or French for IGCSE in both streams, empowering them to lead their language journey with confidence and independence.
CBSE Programme
In our CBSE curriculum, students are offered Hindi, Telugu or French as a second language, with Telugu or French (only for Telugu second language students) available as a third language.Â
Additionally, students have the option to choose Hindi, Telugu or French as subject choices for Grades 9 and 10, allowing them to tailor their curriculum and further enhance their language proficiency.
Through a rich mix of language experiences, we help students build the skills and resilience they need to thrive.
As one of the best schools in Hyderabad, we actively draw on every child’s full language repertoire to support their learning of the Main Language of Education (MLOE) - English. By valuing and developing learners’ home languages, we ensure they feel welcomed, confident and engaged throughout their learning journey.We have introduced signboards in four languages across the campus and create personalised language profiles for every learner.Our aim is for all students to confidently reach a high B2 level on the CEFR scale in English by the end of Grade 12.
Through International School Partnerships' International Opportunities programme, our students immerse themselves in cultural exchanges, debates and creative film projects - safe and exciting rehearsal spaces where they can practice and grow their language skills with confidence.
