Manthan’s annual Diwali Mela raises funds for Tellapur government schools through food, games and craft stalls.

Manthan’s annual Diwali Mela raises funds for Tellapur government schools through food, games and craft stalls. Parent volunteers cook, students craft diyas and school-grown produce is sold – all uniting the community for charity.

Every year, Manthan organises a day-long carnival called the ‘Diwali Mela’ on its campus to raise funds for charity. The revenue generated from the event is used to develop Tellapur government schools in the form of new furniture, stationery, and school supplies.

The carnival offers a range of fun-filled activities for both children and adults. Food, games and crafts stalls help contribute to the cause. Parent volunteers organise food stalls and prepare food items sold at the mela, while students and staff make colourful diyas and lamps for the Diwali sale.

Fresh vegetables grown from the school garden and saplings are also sold. Parents, friends, and relatives support the cause by purchasing items from the various stalls.
