Manthan students volunteer annually at LVPEI, a WHO blindness prevention centre.

Manthan students volunteer annually at LVPEI, a WHO blindness prevention centre. They record audio, create tactile materials and assist at camps for visually challenged youth, building empathy through hands-on service.

L.V. Prasad Eye Institute (LVPEI) is a World Health Organisation Collaborating Centre for Prevention of Blindness. The Institute’s Rehabilitation Centre provides volunteer opportunities to Manthan students annually. The students get to record audio, create tactile learning materials and assist organisers with a summer camp for differently abled children.

The experience of interacting with visually challenged children and young adults is eye-opening and empathy-building for the students.
